You can't use the save files from previous versions due to technical limitations. This function may appear in the future, but now in main menu you can choose any chapter to start new game with, and use cheats
I think there might be a bug with the elf maid's scenes in the latest free version on (an up-to-date) Android. Every time I get to the animated portion, the image of Marcus in bed is overlayed above the actual scene itself. I haven't tried turning off "background animations" yet so I don't know if that might help, but even if it does, ideally it wouldn't be necessary to begin with.
Are there any timescales for when the main plot will be finished yet please?
Also, would it be possible please to add a note to the store page to make it clear that there are unskippable scenes with non-consensual sex acts (and similar creepy activities that would get you thrown in jail irl) . In response to your question, the scenes i had in mind were (with apologies for spoilers...) drugging Luna without her knowledge so you can see her naked and switch bodies with her, and also putting each of the girls in a trace and jizzing on their faces without them knowing about it.
Pretty sure I've spotted several games on Steam that are rated 18+ and which also include additional warnings about scenes of a non-consensual nature. Just thought some of your potential customers might find that information useful too instead of discovering it contains such scenes themselves after they've got quite far into the game.
Thanks for describing what you meant in more detail. The scenes mentioned are a part of the plot that is being changed at the moment and there are no plans to include them un the updated version. They will only be present as a part of legacy chapters available in the optional Extra menu, so they will be skippable. This will happen already in the coming patch 0.11A. In general, we will aim to not include such stuff in future, and change of the scene with Minerva at the start of the game shows our intentions for future content.
Been enjoying the game so far, and I have a few things to say:
First, there just about HAS to be a Castlevania fan on y'all's team. That music choice is either a hyperspecific one that only fans of the franchise would know, or an unbelievable coincidence born of somebody stumbling on it by chance. XD
Second, between the old and new plot versions, it's a bit of a mixed bag on which one does things better. Some of the elements from the old version (not talking about the obvious ones like the scenes and whatnot, but more about certain dialog options, especially early on) feel better to me, and I'd like to see those transferred over to the new version later on as well. For the most part, though, the new version is a solid improvement.
Lastly, and I'm sure you guys get asked this to the point of exasperation, but I'd still like to know: will there eventually be a harem option? Daphne is the best, of course, but Susan, Minerva, and all the others aren't far behind her at all.

Act 1 is pretty tedious. I feel less like I'm making decisions that impact the game and more like I'm just following a railroaded story. Does the game open up at some point to where I'm in control of what I do next?
There's a bit in Act 1 (after the little front gate tutorial) where you visit all of the house wings and meet one girl from each where it feels like you're about to start making some kind of decisions (taking sides in the disputed between houses to curry favor with one over the other. Doing point-and-click adventure type puzzles with the inventory that we were just taught how to use in order to complete quests for them, idk) But then the main character holes up in the office, paints himself an imaginary friend, and drinks a lot. After about half an hour of nothing really happening I turned it off.
After being introduced to the world and the characters, it all gets taken away. It's just not very fun.
It is like it is because when we start to make a game, there is only 2 locations in the game. Main office and class 609. And new locations added after plot rewrites and other changes in the game.

In response to your question, I suspect just rewriting the bits where Marcus interacts with the prefects while drunk would go a long way to addressing this (and hopefully wouldn't take 1-2 years). He's just a nasty, mean drunk and imho there's nothing funny or entertaining about it. It's just unpleasant. A good example of this is where he mocks and mimics a character's stutter, which is just pretty gross.
Up to you though obviously. I just noticed a few posts that mention how unpleasant he is at the start and was wondering if some people are put off from buying the game because of it. I've paid for the game myself and think it's well worth the price but this did limit my enjoyment, and that might be the case for others too.
Agree that he's totally unlikeable at the start. In 2024 the way he behaves is just weird and creepy, and at times quite hateful . Imho they should improve the writing to make it so he comes across as more naive and incompetent at the start (rather that straight up hostile) and then he can win the students round from that. And (slight spoilers...) the writers return to the well by having the main character get drunk and act like an idiot again later on in the game for plot-related reasons, despite him having much more pressing priorities.

Question. i played this game for 6 hours. and not one single scene pops up with anything sexual happening. Anytime something of this nature is about to happen. Main character always says not right now, or this isn't the time. Why is this?

By paying for this game on Itch you get the current B(beta) version and all future B versions before they go public. You pay ONCE, on Itch.
If you become a Patreon member on the Sad_Crab Patreon(monthly payment in support of dev)you also get all the B versions before they go public, but you ALSO get access to the A(alpha) versions that you cannot obtain on Itch.
The A versions are always subject to change, so that version type is more for those who want to have input/opinions on/about the game and support the dev further.
And lastly, you don't need to pay anything, and still get the Public version. The game is technically free, if you can wait. The majority of money paid to Sad_Crab is in support, and unless that changes in the future then the game is 100% free if you can wait until version 1.0.0.
I really like your premise and art style and the fact you have a sort of magic system (the fireplace and window) but it still feels under baked.
The smugness of the MC is too much, and I was really put off from the game at the beginning until you get the chance to redeem yourself. I think the smugness in the prison scene is a good ratio but in Hogwartz he seems "dumb" and "too uncaring" to be a character you can resonate with, that is until he starts redeeming himself where he is a bit more toned down.
Also I really hope you can expand on the magic system where there will be more interactions with the environment or people using said spells (we are in a wizardry world after all).
I haven't managed to start Act 2 yet, because of spoiling for myself and finishing Act 1 drained me and I was some what put off by the writing but I really want to. I think you have a raw gem in your hands which would be SO AMAZING if you polish it some more.
0.10.5B has more content than 0.9.12B, because the development is done in cycles. we first work on a supporters version which is somewhat like an early access to the future content that gets actively expanded (0.11A -> 0.11B for example). Once this "early access" version is somewhat complete we release it together with the next supporters version when it's ready. For example, when 0.11A releases, current 0.10.5B will become public together with some fixes and additions since it was released for supporters. Then the same will happen to 0.11B when 0.12A releases and so on. Hopefully this is more descriptive

Question. i played this game for 6 hours. and not one single scene pops up with anything sexual happening. Anytime something of this nature is about to happen. Main character always says not right now, or this isn't the time. Why is this?

So i need to play the old plot to see any of the revealing scenes? The Minerva scene is supposed to be the first revealing scene and it always skips her.

Question. Is this like just a demo or something? Or do I need to pay for the full version. Base on the comment you replied in another review I'm kinda confuse. If I pay will I get versions earlier? But if I don't then I'll still get the version but I'll have to wait longer to get it? I'm confused.
By paying for this game on Itch you get the current B(beta) version and all future B versions before they go public. You pay ONCE, on Itch.
If you become a Patreon member on the Sad_Crab Patreon(monthly payment in support of dev)you also get all the B versions before they go public, but you ALSO get access to the A(alpha) versions that you cannot obtain on Itch.
The A versions are always subject to change, so that version type is more for those who want to have input/opinions on/about the game and support the dev further.
And lastly, you don't need to pay anything, and still get the Public version. The game is technically free, if you can wait. The majority of money paid to Sad_Crab is in support, and unless that changes in the future then the game is 100% free if you can wait until version 1.0.0.

I really like your premise and art style and the fact you have a sort of magic system (the fireplace and window) but it still feels under baked.
The smugness of the MC is too much, and I was really put off from the game at the beginning until you get the chance to redeem yourself. I think the smugness in the prison scene is a good ratio but in Hogwartz he seems "dumb" and "too uncaring" to be a character you can resonate with, that is until he starts redeeming himself where he is a bit more toned down.
Also I really hope you can expand on the magic system where there will be more interactions with the environment or people using said spells (we are in a wizardry world after all).
I haven't managed to start Act 2 yet, because of spoiling for myself and finishing Act 1 drained me and I was some what put off by the writing but I really want to. I think you have a raw gem in your hands which would be SO AMAZING if you polish it some more.

0.10.5B has more content than 0.9.12B, because the development is done in cycles. we first work on a supporters version which is somewhat like an early access to the future content that gets actively expanded (0.11A -> 0.11B for example). Once this "early access" version is somewhat complete we release it together with the next supporters version when it's ready. For example, when 0.11A releases, current 0.10.5B will become public together with some fixes and additions since it was released for supporters. Then the same will happen to 0.11B when 0.12A releases and so on. Hopefully this is more descriptive
