Does the game ever open up and give me the freedom to do what I want or is it going to be one long tutorial/kinetic novel of non-stop railroading? If it's going to be the latter, then you really should remove the point-and-click mechanics.

on the latest playthrough and looking at the guidline, i cant recommend enough that people save their money. all the things that brought ppl in originally are being scrapped for some softcore porn slop. why not just stick with what was working and keep ur subscibestar open instead of further delaying content to stick with "patreon rules"? the original concept of the game was peak but now its turned into some ecchi gatcja bs where i cant even fuck any of the girls. honestly disappointing as hell and the story just makes no sense anymore, not to mention the complete lack of actual porn in a literal porn game.

And also I like to be able to see what would happen if I make certain choices. Feels like I'm missing out on a big part of these games if I dont.

Played one route, feels too bloated. Its more of a game for actual HP fans, than it is adult game. Lots of repetition, its unclear where and when you need stats, i remember only one check on hooligans in abandoned tower. Stat system gives little, but tricks you into thinking it is important. And when you grinded your stats to go outside, chapter ends almost immediately. Game is great otherwise, but bloat drugs it down a lot, im not sure i will come for future updates. Nice homage to OG game with hermione though.
Do you miss any scenes when your waifu goes missing, or do you get access to it when they come back? I'm worried I'll have to choose someone I don't like as my waifu to ensure I get the most scenes I can with the ones like more.

The rollback function will never return to game because it breaks it. You can always view the entire text of the dialog you missed using one key on the left above the dialog box. You can save the game at any time, except for some scenes and mini-games. To see what happens if you select another menu item, just save before that.
